Vincent Kompany EXCLUSIVE: I WILL be playing at Manchester City next season
Vincent Kompany has revealed to talkSPORT he WILL be playing at Manchester City next season.The big Belgian is Citys longest serving player by far he has spent ten years with the club and has been rewarded with a testimonial match next season.But there has been some speculation over the future of the Citizens captain, who will be a free agent at the end of the current campaign.2

Kompany captained Man City to EFL Cup victory earlier this season – his eighth major trophy with the club

Reports have claimed the 33-year-old is set to sign a contract extension to remain at the club for a further year, although manager Pep Guardiola has insisted he will not be given a new deal for ‘sentimental reasons’.However, Kompany has told talkSPORT he is confident he will still be a Man City player next season.Speaking to Jim White about his future, the City legend said: Oh yeah, Ill be playing next season.Im part of the family now, so well deal with this situation as a family. We might agree or disagree but it wont change any of the relationships between me and the club.But its not a priority right now, one guarantee is that I will be playing and trying to win more trophies.Kompany has endured his fair share of injury troubles in recent years but the veteran defender has been a steady presence in the side this term, making 25 appearances in all competitions.And the Belgium international says he is keen to keep competing at the top level in a City shirt for as long as he can.2
